During the month of  February, show Long Beach State’s participation in the community by contributing to The Big West Coin Drive (a competition between all nine schools in the Big West Conference to see who can raise the most money for the foundation of their choice).  If Long Beach raises the most money, they will receive their earnings plus half of all other eight institutions’ earnings to donate to Meals on Wheels of Long Beach, a nonprofit organization committed to providing nutritious meals to people who are unable to provide for themselves.
